A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 2,600 times in 2013. If it were a cable car, it would take about 43 trips to carry that many people.
This year is over, and like everyone says at the end of pretty much every year, good riddance. No, that’s not right. It wasn’t a bad year at all! Every year has good and bad things that happen. I failed the Noirvember Challenge, friends. All that really means is that I’ll finish up the remaining films on my list in December and probably be writing about them through the new year. I have three more films that I watched in the eleventh month that will count toward this completely arbitrary challenge: The Naked City, Call Northside 777, and Scarlet Street, which I’ll discuss presently. And coming soon, an appreciation of the short-lived comic book cartoon series, “Batman: The Brave and The Bold,” which has been one of my favorite discoveries (if you can call it that) of the year.
